Next up in my “what to watch” series – something to provide some comedic relief! We definitely could all use a laugh right now, so let’s head to some stand up comedy. I’m partial to female comics if I’m being honest, so most of the stand up that I’ve watched is from female comedians. So first, here is a list of amazing stand up specials from some incredibly talented female comedians (and Pete Davidson) that I have already watched:
Taylor Tomlinson: Quarter-Life Crisis (2020)
Pete Davidson: Alive From New York (2020)
Fortune Feimster: Sweet & Salty (2020)
Leslie Jones: Time Machine (2020)
Tiffany Haddish: Black Mitzvah (2019)

Amy Shumer: The Leather Special (2017)
Iliza Shlesinger: Confirmed Kills (2016)
Chelsea Handler: Uganda Be Kidding Me (2014)
There is also a series of comedy specials produced by Tiffany Haddish, which features shorter sets from incredible and hilarious comedians. Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready is a 6 episode set, starring Tracey Ashley, Flame Monroe, Aida Rodriguez, Marlo Williams, April Macie, and Chaunte Wayans. If you don’t want to sit down for a whole hour, these smaller and more easily digestible segments may better fill your appetite.
There are hundreds of comedy specials available on Netflix, so there’s plenty that I haven’t watched just yet. So now, here is a list of some specials that I haven’t yet but intend to watch during this time of social distancing:
